I (Phil) am often asked "are there any exercises that I can do for my back pain?"

The short answer is yes, while I am NOT one to prescribe PT style exercise and work outs there is a super easy and very effective stretching regime anyone can do. It will take 15 mins of your day, maximum.

It is known as the "Magic 4"

Four floor and chair based stretches that will open you hips, pelvis and spine, a great method of maintaining flexibility and function within your spine.

So So Simple, SO SO SO effective.  Give them a go and let me know how they help you.

~ About the author ~
Hi I am Bonita McCarthy I am a Qualified Bodywork Therapist at ‘Hands On’ in Braunton (See my Bio for more information!) I am now the regular #HolisticHealth blogger for Phil’s and Ellies beautiful Braunton Health Clinic in #NorthDevon to name just a few of my skills!

Good quick healthy soup, for a winters day.

Cauliflower, Cashew and Coriander.

Chop up a cauliflower, fry gently with some olive oil,  a chopped onion, 4 or 5 cloves of garlic, 1 tablespoon of turmeric and 100g of cashews in a pan, cover with a lid and cook of a low heat for 15 mins, stirring so it doesn't catch.

While it cooks, dry fry some cashew nuts to toast them, then chop them and set aside to sprinkle on the top of the soup for serving.

When the veggies are soft, pour in 1 litre of stock (veggie or chicken), bring to boil and blend.

Then stir in bunch of chopped coriander (about  30g) and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, season to taste !

Serve and the toasted nuts sprinkled on top. (Maybe with some home made spelt bread and butter)

Enjoy x
